ACCOUNT & PRODUCT DATA

How membership and product learning work

Server-verified membership

Google identity is verified by TripMood’s backend. The server—not browser storage—determines whether an account is Explorer or Plus. Plus activates only after a payment provider sends a valid signed confirmation to TripMood.

Behavior events

TripMood records limited first-party events including searches, opened destinations, saved-trip changes, recommendation feedback, itinerary adjustments, sharing channels and affiliate-link clicks. Signed-in activity may be associated with an account. Signed-out activity uses a random pseudonymous identifier.

Data minimisation

Behavior events exclude Google credentials, payment-card details, precise location and free-form feedback text. Allowed event properties are limited to product context such as destination, origin, mood, duration and interaction type.

Purpose and retention

Events help improve rankings, itinerary usefulness, destination coverage and site reliability. The planned production retention period for raw behavior events is 180 days, after which only aggregated reporting should remain. Membership and payment-reference records may be retained longer where law or accounting rules require it.

Your choices

You may sign out, clear browser storage and request account-data access or deletion once the production account-support channel is published. TripMood does not sell product-behavior data or use it to let partners pay for higher organic rankings.
